Hi,
My partner and I would like to conclude a gay marriage. But our
trouble is that we live in country, which hardly recognizes gay
rights, let alone gay marriage. Can anyone tell me whether we will be
able to marry in a European country recongnizing gay marriages? In
other words, can we marry in such a country not being citizens of this
country? (We want to emigrate to Canada as a couple afterwards.) I
would like to know as well which European countries recognize gay
marriages. I will appreciate your help very much.

as from next year Spain will create a new law giving to gay people the
same rights, exactly the same, of the hetero that means: marriage,
adoption, etc.
catolic church is against it but they have nothing to do as now we have
a progressive government and will be one of the countries in the world
with laws more advanced in this matter, for the first time we can be
proud to be Spanish

Congratulations. Isn't it ironic that the Catholic Church would be
against it when it is a hotbed of homosexuality . . . (I think they like
those flowing robes, and the cute little pink beanies, and those huge
costume jewelery rings).
